MACHINE STRUCTURE AND EXCAVATOR END

• The JCB 4D Excavator Loader has a structure that’s rugged and the styling very modern and unrivalled. Its mainframe is a fully welded, tapered beam structure and is designed for durability using advanced computer analysis. This ensures correct distribution and dissipation of loader, backhoe and axle induced stresses. What’s more, despite the strength, it’s light in weight.
  
• The polyurethane based paint on the shot-blast cleaned machine structure lasts for a longer period, without losing its gloss. The fenders, cab roof and engine side panels are made from colour impregnated polyethylene, which effectively resists stone damage, breakages, rust and weathering.
• They are virtually maintenance-free and look new for a long time. The leg rams are guarded against any site damage while working.
  
• The Front End Loader is a superb performer. Its unmatched traction and breakout forces on the bucket edge enable the loader to cut into the toughest of materials.
  
• The strong 4-ram geometry arms, self-levelling parallel lift and the 45-degree shovel roll-back angle ensures that the machine doesn’t drop any material while loading.
  
• The phenomenal lift capacity of 3401 kg, a front reach of 1.07 m at maximum height (bucket dumped), a short turning circle, and the facility to direct the entire engine power to the loader circuit when required (by disconnecting transmission) together create a very strong and productive front arm. Not only while loading, but also while site stripping, grading, backfilling and grabbing (through six-in-one clam shovel), the JCB 4D is unmatched.
  
  

HYDRAULICS

• The machine can dig out the ‘difficult material’, thanks to the excellent tearout forces of the buckets. And the boom and dipper design allows it to dig ‘up to the rearframe’.
• The unique JCB Vari-matic hydraulic system adjusts the pressure and flow rate depending on the conditions of earth to ensure the best combination for highest productivity.
• It automatically increases digging power of the excavator end by switching the flow from one pump directly to the tank. This allows the remaining pump to develop the pressure necessary to overcome ground resistance. As the ground resistance reduces, the system automatically reverts to maximum flow for operational speed.
• An additional push-button on the loader lever disengages the transmission, making the entire engine power available to the hydraulic system for extra breakout forces required at the time of cutting into the stockpile.
• Hoses and Pipework are carefully routed to ensure maximum protection against on-site damages. High quality imported hoses and leak-proof end-fittings, all add up to give unparalleled levels of hydraulic system reliability.

OPERATORS AREA:

• The operator cabin is really a ‘comfort zone’. It is acoustically isolated from the chassis and is fitted with sound deadening floor matting. The one-piece cab and cab base provide excellent weather and noise insulation. The operator can easily climb in and out of the cabin through the wide doors on either side, by simply stepping on the two footrests.
• The well-furnished interiors have roof trimming, cabin light, high-quality moulded panels and plenty of legroom to move around or turnaround on the swivel seat. The swivel seat itself can be moved forward and back, or up and down to suit the operator’s height and can even be reclined for the operator’s lunch-time siesta.
• Excellent cab ventilation is made possible through fully-opening side windows and the rear screen, which also serves as a rain shield when fully opened. Moreover, the rear screen can be opened or closed with the flick of a finger, thanks to gas-strut assistance. Visibility from the cabin is indeed remarkable, owing to the curved glasses, low screen line and the sloping bonnet.
• All the controls on the JCB 4D are feather touch and are within an arms reach of the operator. Not to mention, the details like the transmission dump switch on the gear lever itself.
• The JCB 4CX Excavator Loader sets new standards in operator safety. The cab is so designed that its occupant is well protected against any object falling on the cabin (F.O.P.S) and in the unlikely event of the machine toppling over, the cab structure protects the operator (R.O.P.S). Seat belt is a standard feature and the laminated cab glasses do not injure the operator even if they break.
  

ELECTRICALS

• The heavy-duty harness has a woven nylon outer cover to provide additional insulation and resistance to abrasion and water penetration. It is clipped to the chassis at every 12 inches for maximum support. The switches and connectors are 100% dust-proof and water-proof (tested for pressure equivalent to under 1m of water for 30 minutes). The powerful halogen headlights and working lights make night operations easy.

ENGINE, TRANSMISSION & AXLE

• Kirloskar 4R 1040. 96HP turbo charged engine for fuel efficiency and conformity to CMVR norms.
  
• Powerful 4-wheel drive, synchromesh gearbox and electrical switch for on-the-move gear changing without slowing down. and excellent mobility on both rough and soft terrain.
• When on road, it can be switched to a 2-wheel drive mode for fuel economy. However the machine is still very safe, as when braked, it automatically engages its 4-wheel drive to stop at a short distance.
