3D - Backhoe Loaders

The JCB 3D Backhoe Loader is a premium product. A rugged machine that
can dig or load endlessly, for profits. It has the versatility to handle
excavation, loading, dozing, grading, grabbing, backfilling, trenching,
ditch cleaning and rock breaking and the ability to move on any terrain.
To the operator it gives excellent all-round visibility, well ventilated
cabin and fatigue-free controls
MACHINE STRUCTURE AND EXCAVATOR END
- The complete structure from front to back has been evaluated at
the JCB UK laboratory and endurance-tested on the test bed for millions
of cycles, which is several times more than what the machine would
go through in its entire life. The loader arm, boom, dipper and the
buckets are now even stronger to take care of the rigorous working
conditions in India. The fabrication is done at the state-of-the-art
facility and each component is shot blasted and phosphated to ensure
that the glossy paint protects it well throughout its life.
- The new curve designed boom and dipper are stronger. The 3300 PSI
hydraulic pressure and bigger sized hydraulic cylinders allow far
higher tear-out forces. To the customer, it offers unmatched ability
to dig hard ground and with higher productivity. The new design twin
ram slew mechanism is easier to maintain, far quicker in operation
and frugal in fuel consumption. The king post and carriage have been
fatigue - tested for millions of cycles to take on gruelling Indian
conditions.The ease and access for servicing is excellent. The new
design no longer requires separate oil for slew operation. The cost
of maintenance in the long run comes down significantly.
- The backend hoses now run through the King post, minimizing bending
and rubbing. Tidy and well-protected hose routing ensure longer operational
life. Separate boom and slew lock ensures independent and safe operation
for both road travel and transportation. The wider rear frame distributes
the digging stresses better and adds to the strength of the entire
structure. It also provides greater stability while excavating. The
side-shift mechanism provides the machine the ability to dig next
to walls and obstructions. The stabilizer legs now have two adjustable
oil impregnated wear pads which provide a steady digging platform
for greater digging accuracy and allow a more quiet operation. The
excavator bucket has been strengthened with increased thickness of
plates and manufactured with special wear resistant steel.
OPERATORS AREA:
- The best cab in the business, it provides a superbly large working
environment with large glass area for excellent all-round visibility.
Wide opening doors and large footsteps provide easy access from both
sides of the cabin.
- Safety Cab to ROPS (Roll-over Protection System) & FOPS (Falling
Objects Protection System), two door walk through access, safety glass
all round. Fitments include: purpose designed JCB seat, rear view
mirror, interior light, front screen wiper, horn and face level fan.
- Fully adjustable driver seat and high level of appointment and instrumentation
for greater comfort, convenience and ease of operation. All levers
and switches are ergonomically positioned.
Opening rear and side windows ensure good ventilation. A face fan
is additionally provided. Operator controls include throttle, independent
foot brake pedals, parking brake, transmission disconnect pedal, gear
shift, power shuttle lever, 4 wheel engage/disengage lever, hydraulic
control levers and steering wheel.
- Instrument panel includes tachometer, hourmeter, water temperature
gauge, fuel gauge and audio-visual warning for transmission oil pressure,
oil pressure generator, No-Charge and parking brake on.
ELECTRICALS
- The sealed electrical connectors conform to the stringent European
standard of IP 67 and are 100% dust and water proof, tested to a depth
of 1m of water for 30 minutes.
- The heavy-duty harness with an outer cover provides resistance to
abrasion and water penetration.Harness is clipped to the chassis at
regular intervals for extra support and each wire in the harness is
coded on both ends for easy identification.
- The stylized moulded panel in brand new colour provides full protection
to the harness.
Fuses and relays are now located safely inside the panel with a decal
plate which enables quick identification in the event of a problem.
Attractive one piece instrument cluster comprises of tachometer, hour
meter, fuel gauge and water temperature gauge. An audio / visual alarm
warns the operator against any mishap.
- The four front and the four adjustable rear powerful halogen working
lights illuminate the working area at night for increased productivity.
LOADER END
- The machine now has even better break-out forces and hydraulic lift
capacity, providing a better ability to enter a stock pile and superior
loading performance.
- The capability to load at a height of 2.7m with a reach of 0.77m
allows easy loading of tippers, railway wagons and hoppers.
- The twin arm, 4 ram geometry, self-levelling parallel lift and 450
rollback angle ensures effective retention, an uncluttered forward
visibility and ability to perform forklifting duties.
ENGINE, TRANSMISSION & AXLE
- ENGINE : Kirloskar 4R1040, four cylinder, water cooled diesel, delivering
Gross Power of 57 KW (76 HP) at 2200 RPM as per BS Au 141 a and net
power of 53.8 KW (72 HP) at 2200 RPM (ISO 3046 IFN). Maximum net torque
29.5 kgm.
- TRANSMISSION : JCB Synchroshuttle transmission incorporating Torque
converter, reversing shuttle and synchromesh 4 speed gear box in one
resiliently mounted unit. Electro-hydraulic direction control through
a steering column mounted switch for forward/reverse shuttling. Foot
pedal operated, transmission disconnect switch for on-the-move gear
change. Torque converter stall ratio 2.83:1.
- AXLES :Rear: Drive axle rigidly mounted, incorporates JCB Max-Trac
torque proportioning differential, driven by short propshaft from
gear box. Front: Steer axle, centrally pivoted, with oscillation angle
of 10° total (16° for 4 WD).
